This limited-edition artist book documents a selection of tapestry-based paintings and installations produced by George Bolster in the last two years. The text by Sarah Kelleher, an independent curator and writer based in Cork, Ireland, examines the connection between Bolster's use of material, imagery, science, and history. The screen-printed cover, created, designed, and hand-printed by the artist, features an "o" on the front cover, and "a" on the back, symbolically suggesting the alpha and omega or first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. Bolster places them in reverse, suggesting a new beginning as we evolve toward science and away from traditional belief systems as we commence our move outwards into space.
